She made her film debut in 'Our Song' (2000) and has since appeared in various films like 'Ray' (2004), 'Fantastic Four' (2005), and 'Django Unchained' (2012). Washington also had notable stage roles, making her Broadway debut in David Mamet's play 'Race' (2009) and starring in Christopher Demos-Brown's play 'American Son'.
