Anna Silk, born January 31, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, is a Canadian actress of British and Turkish Cypriot-English descent. She attended St. Thomas University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Silk began her acting career in theatre before moving to Toronto in 1999. Her television debut was on 'Twice in a Lifetime' (2000), followed by recurring roles in 'The Newsroom' (2001) and appearances in 'Smallville', 'Stargate Atlantis', and 'The L Word'. Silk gained significant recognition for her role as Bo Dennis in the supernatural drama 'Lost Girl' (2010-2015), earning several awards, including a Canadian Screen Award for Best Actress. She has also appeared in films like 'The Wicker Man' (2006) and 'Assassins Tale' (2013). Silk is married to Seth Cooperman with whom she has two sons. In 2019, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her contributions to Canadian society.
