Sarah Kate Silverman, born December 1, 1970, is an American comedian, actress, and writer known for her satirical comedy addressing social taboos and controversial topics. She gained recognition as a writer and performer on Saturday Night Live before creating and starring in her own Comedy Central show, The Sarah Silverman Program (2007-2010). Silverman has won two Primetime Emmy Awards and been nominated for several others. Her notable film appearances include School of Rock (2003), Wreck-It Ralph (2012), A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014), and Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). She published an autobiography, The Bedwetter, in 2010. Silverman was politically active during the 2016 election and hosted the Hulu talk show I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman from 2017 to late 2018.
