Emmanuelle Seigner, born on June 22, 1966, is a French actress and singer known for her roles in 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly' (2007), 'The Ninth Gate' (1999), and 'Frantic' (1988). Daughter of photographer Jean-Louis Seigner and journalist Aline Ponelle, she is the older sister of actress Mathilde Seigner and singer Marie-Amélie Seigner. Laura Bartelli, a stripper at a French bar, decides to leave her job and life behind after meeting Marco Tisserand, a landscape architect who asks her to join him. On her way to meet Marco, Laura's car accident leaves her with severe injuries, including deafness, and she falls into a coma.
