Glenn Close was born on March 19, 1947, and has enjoyed a five-decade acting career with notable accolades including three Primetime Emmy Awards, three Tony Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, eight Academy Award nominations, and three Grammy nominations. She is recognized as one of the few performers to be nominated for the Triple Crown of Acting and EGOT. Close was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2016.
