Izïa Higelin, born on September 24, 1990, in Paris to Belgian and Tunisian parents, is a French rock singer, guitarist, and actress. Coming from a family of artists, she formed a duo with her father at age seven and later became influenced by rock bands like Nirvana and Led Zeppelin. At 15, she left school to pursue music professionally, releasing her first EP in 2006. Her debut album 'Izia' was released in 2009, compared to Janis Joplin's style, reaching #31 on the French albums chart. She has since released three more albums that reached the charts and contributed to a Metallica tribute album in 2021. Higelin made her film debut in 'Mauvaise fille' (Bad Girl) in 2012 as Louise, for which she was nominated for several awards including the César Award for Most Promising Actress.
