Story

Rousseau, a successful Parisian crime novelist, is struggling to find inspiration for his next book. Meanwhile, Candice Lecoeur, a young woman who believes she is the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe, lives in a remote French village where she works as a model for the local cheese factory. After Candice's apparent suicide by sleeping pills, Rousseau becomes intrigued by her story and travels to the village to investigate her death. Despite initial resistance from the locals, Rousseau begins to uncover secrets that suggest Candice's death may not have been a suicide.
