Born on September 15, 1977, in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy, Caterina Murino started her career as a model after placing fourth in Miss Italy in 1996. She moved to Milan and acted in stage productions like 'Richard III' while studying acting at the Scuola di Cinema e Teatro di Francesca de Sapio from 1999-2000. Murino made her film debut in bit roles in Italian, German, and French productions starting in 2002. Her breakthrough came in 2004 with 'L'enquête Corse'. Story
Odysseus, set in ancient Greece during the 8th century BC, begins with King Odysseus of Ithaca missing after the Trojan War a decade ago. The island's economy has declined due to invading princes exploiting its resources and pressuring Queen Penelope to remarry. To stall them, she promises to choose a husband once she completes weaving Laertes' shroud but secretly undoes her work each night.
