Kate Hudson, born April 19, 1979, is an American actress known for her portrayal of Penny Lane in 'Almost Famous' (2000), a role that earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. Throughout the 2000s, she starred in several romantic comedies including 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' (2003) and 'Bride Wars' (2009). She has also appeared in horror ('The Skeleton Key', 2005), drama ('Deepwater Horizon', 2016), and mystery films ('Glass Onion', 2022). Additionally, she co-founded the fitness brand Fabletics and authored two books.

Story
Deputy Sheriff Lou Ford appears to be a pillar of his small west Texas community, but secretly he is a sociopathic sadist struggling with his 'sickness'.
