Story

Vincent Harris discovers his wife murdered in their home one evening while returning from work. Three years later, he still obsesses over finding her killer despite moving to Brooklyn with his dog. Alice Parker, Vincent's dysfunctional neighbor, develops feelings for him but struggles to connect due to Vincent's fixation on the past. In an attempt to help Vincent move on and be with him, Alice devises a plan involving Roger Culkin, a taxi driver whose car she damages one night. She seduces Roger, gives him a red jacket and ring similar to Vincent's description of his wife's killer, and arranges for them to meet. However, there are no perfect culprits or crimes, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Summary
