Full Biography

Melanie Richards Griffith, born August 9, 1957 in New York City to actress Tippi Hedren and advertising executive Peter Griffith, began her acting career in the 1970s with roles in independent thriller films like 'Night Moves' (1975). She gained mainstream success in the mid-1980s, earning a National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Body Double' (1984), and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for 'Working Girl' (1988). In the 1990s, she starred in films like 'Pacific Heights' (1990) and 'Mulholland Falls' (1996), and received Golden Globe nominations for roles in 'Buffalo Girls' (1995) and 'RKO 281' (1999). She also appeared on television series such as 'Nip/Tuck', 'Raising Hope', and 'Hawaii Five-0'. Griffith made her Broadway debut in a revival of 'Chicago' in 2003, and returned to film with roles in 'Autómata' (2014) and 'The Disaster Artist' (2017).

Story
