Cannibal Taboo follows Janet, a woman raised in the African wilderness who is rescued by explorer Cliff Hendricks and eventually marries him. They have four children together. The story primarily unfolds when their youngest son Paul turns twenty-one. His brother Luke, a successful professor, returns for the celebration but finds that things are far from normal in the Hendricks household. It's revealed that fourth sibling Matthew disappeared on his twenty-first birthday, and there's an incestuous relationship between Paul and his sister. Adding to this turmoil is Janet's secret, which is unknown.
Directed by Mike Tristano in 2006, Cannibal Taboo is a horror-thriller film centered around the Hendricks family. While the film appears to depict a normal life at first glance, it harbors dark secrets and taboos that are revealed through its unsettling events. The story explores themes of incest, secrecy, and the destructive impact of hidden truths on family dynamics.
