Cynthia Ellen Nixon, born April 9, 1966, is an American actress and activist who gained prominence for her role as Miranda Hobbes in the HBO series 'Sex and the City' (1998-2004), winning a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2004. She reprised this role in subsequent films and TV shows. Nixon has had an extensive career on Broadway, including her debut in 'The Philadelphia Story' in 1980, and has won multiple Tony Awards. In addition to acting, she has also directed theater productions.

Story

Missy, an artist with a flourishing career in New York City, maintains a noncommittal approach to romance, including her relationship with a married man.
