Story
Charlie Taylor is released from jail after serving one year for a crime he claims not to have committed. His girlfriend Randi, who is also his songwriter, calls upon her ex-boyfriend Carl Olsen, now a district attorney in Malibu, to help Charlie secure a job. Carl arranges for Emma De Layle, the wife of a powerful rich man, to hire Charlie as an intermediary in a staged kidnapping of Emma's step-daughter Melissa.
