Story

Century Hotel is an omnibus film that tells five interconnected stories set in the same hotel room (room 720) during different decades of the 20th century. The first story takes place in the swinging '20s and follows a beautiful young woman who is married against her will to a brutish thug. They spend their tense honeymoon in room 720. The second story, set during the Depression era, centers on a mail-order bride from China who meets her husband for the first time in the same room. After World War II, a soldier returns home to meet his girlfriend and best friend in room 720. In the paranoid 1950s, a professor searches for his wife in the now-renovated room. During the 1980s, a lawyer finds himself with too much sex and debt while staying in room 720. The final story takes place at the dawn of the millennium as a woman comes to the newly refurbished room to meet her Internet lover.
