Story

A college journalist infiltrates the campus' cheerleading squad with the initial intention of writing an expose on how cheerleading demeans women. As she joins the squad and gets to know her fellow cheerleaders, she finds herself forming unlikely friendships and discovering a larger conspiracy involving the football team's coach.

Summary

In 'Swinging Cheerleaders' (1974), directed by Jack Hill, the line between investigation and immersion blurs as a college journalist joins the school's cheerleading squad to write an expose. Set in the United States, the film combines elements of action, comedy, and sports drama. While the original intent was to uncover exploitation within the cheerleading culture, the journalist uncovers unexpected friendships and a deeper scandal involving the football team's coach.
