In 'Bosque de sombras', a young married couple from France (played by Judith Ledoyen and Jason Flemyng) visit their friend in the Basque region of Spain. The friend, played by Gary Oldman, has married a local woman (Ana Sánchez-Gijón). Their peaceful summer holiday turns into a nightmare when they discover a girl with severely mutilated hands in the forest nearby. They decide to help her by taking her away from the house where she's imprisoned, but this act enrages the locals who chase after them through the forest. The couple must navigate the unfamiliar terrain while trying to protect the girl and themselves.
'Bosque de sombras' (2006) is a Spanish horror-thriller directed by Koldo Serra, set in the Basque region during the late 1970s. The film blends elements of drama, thriller, and backwoods horror as it follows a French couple's fateful encounter with a mysterious girl and her vengeful pursuers. The movie explores themes of friendship, trust, and the horrors that can lurk in seemingly idyllic settings.
