Full Biography

Madonna Louise Ciccone, born August 16, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, moved to New York in 1977 to pursue a career in modern dance. She started her music career with Breakfast Club and Emmy before releasing her debut album in 1983. Madonna became famous for pushing lyrical boundaries and innovative music videos, achieving numerous number-one hits like 'Like a Virgin', 'Papa Don't Preach', and 'Vogue'. She won a Golden Globe for Evita (1996) but faced criticism for some film roles. Aside from music and acting, Madonna is also a fashion designer, children's book author, film director/producer, and entrepreneur. With over 300 million records sold, she's the top-selling female recording artist globally. She broke attendance records with her live concert at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro on May 4, 2024.
