Synopsis
Psychiatrist Ann Hecker (Sciorra) finds herself entangled in a complex web of deceit and violence when she begins dating a patient's lover. The patient, a neurotic art gallery owner, has a submissive sexual relationship with this new boyfriend who harbors a violent streak. When the patient is murdered, Ann must determine if her new boyfriend is the killer or not. Her mentor attempts to help her navigate this treacherous situation, but things aren't as they seem.

Whispers in the Dark (1992), directed by Christopher Crowe, is a psychological erotic thriller that explores themes of sexuality, power dynamics, and deception within a professional context.
