Synopsis
Kate, a thirty-something woman struggling with depression, attempts suicide but fails and ends up in the hospital. After leaving the hospital wearing only a gown, coat, and sandals, she buys a bus ticket to an undecided destination. She arrives at a desert bar, gets drunk with locals, including a mysterious man named Barry Tubb, and wakes up married to him in an abandoned house nearby. The couple struggles to find meaning and love amidst their isolated surroundings.

Directed by Joe Gayton, 'Warm Summer Rain' (1989) is a drama-romance film about Kate, a woman disillusioned with life who leaves her past behind and journeys into the desert.
