Synopsis
In 1973 Spain, Alfredo Lopez, an encyclopedia salesman struggling to make ends meet, and his wife Carmen find themselves at a crossroads when Alfredo's employer, Montoya publishing house, offers them an unusual proposal: create erotic films disguised as educational material about reproduction to sell in Scandinavian countries. Alfredo, seeing this as an opportunity for artistic expression, agrees, while Carmen, unaware of the implications, supports him. As they embark on their new venture, Carmen unexpectedly becomes an international adult film star, drawing the attention of a Danish crew who arrive to help Alfredo make an Ingmar Bergman-inspired feature film titled 'Torremolinos 73'. Meanwhile, Carmen, now eager to start a family, begins to feel uncomfortable with her sudden fame and the tension between the couple grows. The story follows their journey as they navigate the unexpected consequences of their decision.
