Synopsis
Newlyweds Cory and Sarah Morgan take Cory's seven-year-old son Liam for a family trip to the countryside. While there, Liam goes missing under mysterious circumstances, leading to psychological suspense as Sarah and Cory search for him. The search takes a dark turn when they discover that a sadistic cult-like family has been hiding in their house all along. This hidden family has taken Liam for themselves, forcing Sarah and Cory to confront them in order to save Liam.

Directed by Jordan Barker and released in 2013, 'Torment' is a Canadian horror-thriller film that explores themes of family, home invasion, and the disturbing nature of human cruelty. The story follows newlyweds Cory and Sarah Morgan as they attempt to strengthen their family bonds while staying at a remote country house. However, their peaceful getaway turns into a living nightmare when their young son Liam disappears under unexplained circumstances. As they desperately search for Liam, they uncover that the seemingly isolated house hides a sinister secret: a cult-like family who have been living there undetected, ready to inflict psychological and physical torment on anyone who dares to intrude.
