Résumé
The Park Is Mine is a 1985 television movie directed by Steven Hilliard Stern, set in New York City's Central Park. The film centers around Vietnam veteran Mitch, who decides to take forceful control of the park for three days on Veterans' Day weekend. His goal is to raise awareness about the neglect and oversight of veterans, the elderly, and other marginalized groups by the government and society at large. To defend his position, Mitch uses a rifle and sets up land mines around the park. As the situation unfolds over the 72 hours, Mitch must contend with police forces attempting to evacuate the park's inhabitants and neutralize him, while also trying to prevent the park from becoming too damaged by the inevitable clash between them. The tense standoff becomes even more complicated when a young reporter arrives on the scene, determined to uncover the truth behind Mitch's motivations.
