Synopsis
Patty Sullivan, a woman involved in an abusive relationship, decides to take boxing lessons at a health club to better protect herself from her violent boyfriend. While practicing, Patty catches the attention of June, a female boxer, and Fred, a promoter who books fights at local clubs. Both recognize Patty's potential talent and introduce her to Tommy, a trainer who helps Patty get into fighting shape. Patty finds friendship and support in June, which motivates her to escape her abusive relationship and pursue boxing professionally. With Tommy's training, she begins climbing the ladder of the women's boxing circuit.
