Synopsis
In 17th century London's theater scene, Ned Kynaston (Billy Crudup), a renowned actor known for his exceptional portrayal of female roles like Desdemona in Othello, faces an unexpected challenge to his career when King Charles II lifts the ban on female stage performers.
