Synopsis
In 'Spermula', alien beings known as 'spermulites' from a dying planet attempt to save their world by invading Earth and extracting human male reproductive fluids through oral means, akin to vampiric horniness. Led by Ingrid (Dayle Haddon), these extraterrestrial females infiltrate a human community with the intention of neutralizing its leaders and subsequently subduing the rest of mankind in an orgiastic finale. However, their plan becomes complicated when some of the alien invaders begin to form emotional attachments with their intended victims. This unexpected complication forces them to abandon their mission temporarily.

Résumé
Directed by Charles Matton and released in 1976, 'Spermula' is an erotic science fiction film that blends elements of horror and comedy. The movie centers around the alien species 'spermulites', who aim to repopulate their dying planet by consuming human male reproductive fluids. Originally released as 'L'Amour est un fleuve en Russie' in France, the film was dubbed into English for wider distribution but suffered significant rewrites that introduced a hokey plot about an impending planetary collision. Despite these alterations, the original French version remains more highly regarded due to its superior storytelling and availability of English subtitles.
