Synopsis
Louise and Kasper, a Danish-Norwegian couple, live in an isolated villa away from modern life and technology. Louise's long-standing dream to become a mother seems unattainable as she is unable to have children herself. In desperation, she approaches Elena, their Romanian maid, with a proposition: Elena will bear Louise's child as a surrogate mother in exchange for a substantial sum of money. Initially, things seem to go according to plan. However, the pregnancy progresses rapidly and strangely, causing unease and paranoia among the couple. The unborn child starts to exert an ominous influence over their lives, leading to horror and inevitable consequences around its birth.
