Rinku, a suicide-prevention counselor, lives with her older husband Shigehiko who is indifferent towards her sexually and they sleep apart. During Tokyo's rainy season, Iguchi, a photographer whom Rinku has been counseling over the phone, sends her pictures he took through her skylight showing her masturbating. Feeling humiliated, Rinku agrees to his demands in exchange for the negatives. Iguchi instructs her to explore her desires by going out at night and doing whatever she wants. Eventually, Rinku asks Iguchi for a favor, leading to her husband receiving phone calls and photographs. The dynamics between the three characters grow increasingly complex as the story progresses.
