Synopsis
In late 19th century Russia, Prince Dimitri Nekhlyudov is summoned for jury duty in a trial where Katiuscia Maslova is accused of murdering a merchant during a robbery. Dimitri recognizes Katiuscia as someone he had once wronged by seducing and abandoning her while she was still a servant girl in his household.
