Synopsis
Regina (Mimi Rogers), the first woman in over 40 years set to be executed in a federal penitentiary, spends her final hours befriending Colin Reeves (Billy Zane), a curious prison guard assigned to watch over her. Through flashbacks and conversations with Colin, Regina recounts her life leading up to her husband's murder, revealing differing versions of the events. It is unclear whether she intended to kill him or if it was an accident. The film explores Regina's guilt and remorse as her execution approaches.
