Synopsis
In early 1900s New York City, Coalhouse Walker Jr., a renowned black pianist and jazz band leader, becomes a victim of racial injustice when a group of white men vandalize his new car. Seeking justice but finding none, Coalhouse turns to revenge. Meanwhile, he crosses paths with an upper-class white family, becoming embroiled in their lives amidst the city's social tensions.
