Synopsis
Vampire Lestat loses interest in immortality and falls asleep. Upon waking to the sounds of punk rock, he becomes a leader of an undead band, gaining fame but exposing vampires to humans. This attracts vampire enthusiast Jesse and awakens Akasha, the first vampire queen, who decides to make Lestat her king. Learning of her bloodlust and plans for humanity, Lestat teams up with other vampire nobles to stop her. He then turns Jesse into his undead mistress to spend eternity together.

Résumé
Based on Anne Rice's 'The Vampire Chronicles' series, 'Queen of the Damned' is a horror-fantasy film directed by Michael Rymer. The story focuses on Lestat, an immortal vampire navigating contemporary society after waking from centuries-long sleep. Set against the backdrop of music and youth culture, the film explores themes of immortality, power, and desire, as Lestat faces off against Akasha, the ancient queen of all vampires.
