Synopsis
Marina, a new mother struggling with her maternal role, takes refuge in a mountain lodge with her infant son. While there, she experiences an unimaginable tragedy involving her child. The landlord of the lodge, Manfred, becomes embroiled in this tragic event. Following this catastrophe, an unconventional bond develops between Marina and Manfred.

Résumé
Directed by Cristina Comencini, 'Quando la notte' (When Night Falls) is a drama film based on the novel of the same name by Gianrico Carofiglio. The story revolves around Marina, a woman grappling with her new identity as a mother.
