Synopsis
On Valentine's Day, 1900, three schoolgirls - Miranda, Marion, and Irma - along with their governess, Miss McCraw, from Appleyard College, embark on a picnic to Hanging Rock in Australia. Despite warnings of the rock's ill omen, they decide to explore it further than usual. On their way back, the four women vanish without a trace. This mysterious disappearance sets off an investigation and sends shockwaves through the students, families, staff of Appleyard College, and the nearby township.
