Synopsis
In Victorian-era Baghdad, teenagers David and Sarah travel with a caravan towards Damascus when they are attacked by Arab marauders known as the Jackal, who seeks to capture Sarah for his harem. Both teens manage to escape amidst the massacre but find themselves alone in the harsh desert. They journey together, facing various dangers including the elements and wild animals. Despite their dire situation, David and Sarah discover love and physical intimacy with each other while hiding out at a beautiful oasis they consider their 'paradise'. However, the Jackal continues his pursuit of Sarah, leading to a final confrontation where David must defend them both.

Résumé
Paradise (1982) is an adventure romance film directed by Stuart Gillard. Set in the Victorian period during a caravan journey from Baghdad to Damascus, it follows two teenagers, David and Sarah, who endure a traumatic attack by Arab marauders. Orphaned and forced to flee across the desert together, they face numerous challenges as they seek safety and ultimately find love amidst the harsh landscape. The film explores themes of survival, temptation, and the human capacity for love even in the most trying circumstances.
