Synopsis
Three young doctors—Carlos (Rodrigo Simas), Pedro (João Váz), and Maria (Maria Ribeiro)—are sent to a remote village in Pantanal to vaccinate residents against a new mutation of the Zika virus. Upon arrival, they find the villagers hostile and unwilling to accept their help. The village is dominated by a charismatic healer named Pai Mateus (Luiz Guilherme), who believes in faith healing over modern medicine. Pai Mateus has the villagers' devotion and trust, making it difficult for the doctors to gain acceptance. As the doctors try to navigate this isolated community shrouded in secrets, they begin to question their own beliefs about science and faith. The tension escalates as Pai Mateus sees the doctors' presence as a threat to his power over the village.
