Synopsis
After losing her job and husband in the Great Recession, Fern (Frances McDormand) embarks on a journey through the western United States living as a van-dwelling nomad. She encounters real-life modern-day nomads Linda May, Swankie, and Bob Wells who become her mentors and companions along the way.
