Synopsis
Susan Morrow receives a manuscript titled 'Nocturnal Animals' from her ex-husband Edward, whom she left 20 years ago. As she reads it, she becomes drawn into the story of Tony Hastings, a mathematics professor whose family vacation turns violent when they are carjacked on a deserted road. Tony's wife and daughter are killed, but he manages to escape with his life. The manuscript also mirrors Susan's own past, forcing her to confront dark truths about herself.

Résumé
Nocturnal Animals is a 2016 film directed by Tom Ford, based on the novel 'Tony and Susan' by Austin Wright. It's a story within a story, with two narratives unfolding simultaneously: one following Susan Morrow as she reads her ex-husband Edward's manuscript, and the other telling the tale of Tony Hastings from that manuscript. The film explores themes of revenge, guilt, and the blurred lines between reality and fiction.
