In a world where humans coexist peacefully with puppets, beautiful Erin develops feelings for her luscious roommate Lydia, who is already in a relationship with another puppet. Erin's attempts to win Lydia's affection cause friction, but that's not the only disturbance in their community. Suddenly, puppets begin acting out in depraved ways, causing fear and mistrust among humans. Strange doll Barbara enters the scene further complicating matters. Résumé
Nightmare on Elmo's Street (2015) is a unique blend of comedy and horror directed by Bill Zebub, set in a parallel universe where humans live alongside puppets. The film explores themes of love triangles, prejudice, and the potential dangers of fear-mongering through its bizarre and wtf moments. It satirizes media sensationalism and societal distrust while also touching on the struggle for acceptance in a non-conforming world.
