Synopsis
In London during 1956, renowned actor and director Sir Laurence Olivier prepares to commence filming 'The Prince and the Showgirl', with Marilyn Monroe in the lead role. Colin Clark, a young aspiring film student, secures employment as the third assistant director on the set. Throughout production, Olivier struggles to manage Monroe's demanding behavior and inconsistent performance. Meanwhile, Colin becomes increasingly fascinated by Monroe's public image versus her private persona. As Monroe begins to confide in him, their bond deepens during her brief stay at his family's countryside estate, leading to a week of intimacy that transcends mere friendship.
