Synopsis
In 'Mormaço', set in Rio de Janeiro during the summer of 2016 leading up to the Olympic Games, Ana, a 32-year-old public defender, becomes involved in defending a community threatened with removal due to the Olympics' construction projects. Simultaneously, she starts noticing strange purple spots on her body and experiences inexplicable occurrences both within herself and around the city. The sultry heat intensifies, creating an oppressive atmosphere that ultimately gives way to heavy rain.
