Synopsis
The movie 'Máncora' begins with Santiago, a 22-year-old from Lima, grappling with inner demons and hatred for the world following his father's suicide. To escape his torment and the harsh Lima winter, he decides to flee to Mancora, a beach town in northern Peru where it is always summer. Upon his arrival, Santiago receives an unexpected visit from Ximena, his stepsister in her late twenties, accompanied by Inigo, her Spanish husband who is a young surgeon. The trio embarks on a journey together, seeking refuge and self-discovery. However, Santiago and Ximena find solace in each other's company, sparking jealousy within Inigo. Their intended escape turns into a confrontation with their personal dreams and demons as they cross boundaries they never thought they would.
