Synopsis
The story of 'Loverboy' (2005) revolves around Emily and her son Paul. Emily wanted to be a mother without a husband and raised Paul alone, nicknaming him Loverboy. The film begins with Emily telling six-year-old Paul about their past during an imaginary car trip where he practices driving. Flashbacks show Emily's desire for motherhood, her fun yet sometimes manic interactions with Paul throughout his infancy and childhood, and Paul's growing wish to attend school and socialize with others.
