Synopsis
Maria and Henry, along with their three children, travel from Japan to Thailand for Christmas. They stay at a villa by the coast, where they enjoy their holiday until suddenly, a distant noise turns into an unstoppable roar. A tsunami hits without warning, sweeping Maria and her eldest son in one direction while Henry and the youngest are pulled another way. The family is separated amidst the chaos as they struggle to survive the disaster.

Résumé
Lo imposible is a 2012 Spanish-language film directed by Juan Antonio Bayona. Based on the true story of a Spanish family caught in the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami while vacationing in Thailand, the movie follows their struggle for survival and reunion amidst the catastrophe.
