Synopsis
In 'Lek', a rookie policeman is coerced by his superiors into obtaining secret information from his childhood friend who has become a gangster. However, this new relationship between old friends goes awry when the gangster turns informant and reveals sensitive details. The policeman becomes increasingly entangled in a deadly web of lies, crimes, treason, and revenge as things spiral out of control.

Résumé
'Lek' is a Dutch thriller film from 2000 directed by Jean van de Velde. Based on a book about an infamous real scandal in the Dutch crime scene, the movie aims to expose the horrors caused by corruption on both sides of the law. The story revolves around the complex relationship between a rookie policeman and his childhood friend turned gangster. While the film focuses on this dynamic, it also explores the broader implications of their actions on the criminal underworld and the legal system.
