Synopsis
After his wife's death, Eduard embarks on an unexpected journey from Berlin to Russia, seeking a woman he once loved during his military service with the Cossacks. His daughter wants him placed in a home due to his advanced age and deteriorating relationship with their family, but Eduard is determined to see his quest through. Eduard's granddaughter Adele reluctantly joins him on his journey after being tasked by her mother to bring him back. Throughout their odyssey, Eduard confronts his past feelings and war experiences, while Adele begins to understand the impact of Eduard's war on her own identity.
