Synopsis
Le Bossu (1997) directed by Philippe de Broca follows an adventure film plot with historical and swashbuckler elements. The story focuses on a hunchback named Notre Dame Cathedral's Quasimodo, who saves a young nobleman named Phoebus from drowning. Unbeknownst to him, Phoebus is in love with Esmeralda, the gypsy he saw dancing at the Festival of Fools.

Résumé
'Le Bossu' is a historical adventure film directed by Philippe de Broca in 1997. Set during the reign of King Louis XI, it's an adaptation of Victor Hugo's novel 'Notre-Dame de Paris'. The film is notable for its swashbuckling sequences and grand sets. It was also controversial due to its depiction of Esmeralda as a villainess.
