Synopsis
In 'Lazarus Effect', Frank and his fiancée Zoe lead a team of researchers who successfully revive a dead animal through an unsanctioned experiment. When their dean finds out, he shuts down their project and confiscates their materials. In desperation to continue their work, they attempt to recreate the experiment illegally. During this attempt, Zoe is accidentally killed. Driven by grief, Frank decides to test the revival process on Zoe's lifeless body. Initially, it seems like a success, but soon the team realizes something sinister has returned with Zoe.

Résumé
Directed by David Gelb in 2015, 'Lazarus Effect' is a horror film that explores the consequences of playing god and pushing beyond ethical boundaries in scientific research. The story follows a group of researchers attempting to bring the dead back to life, which leads them down a dark path when they revive one of their own who died during an experiment.
