Synopsis
Upon moving into his mother's house in Los Angeles for his residency, newly graduated psychiatrist Sam finds himself at odds with his bohemian mother Jane, who seems more interested in her rock-'n'-roll lifestyle than work. Sam's fiancée Alex initially focuses on finishing her dissertation but soon gets drawn into the libertine atmosphere of Laurel Canyon.
