Synopsis
In post-Spanish Civil War Madrid, sisters Hortensia and Pepita are involved with an underground guerrilla movement. Hortensia is eventually captured by the authorities and forced to give birth in prison while Pepita tries desperately to find a way to help her sister and support the guerrilla cause.
